Wisconsin State Representative John Macco not seeking reelection

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – A republican state representative announced on Monday morning that he will not run for reelection after spending the last decade in his current position.

According to a post shared on his Facebook page, State Representative John Macco (R-Ledgeview) has decided he will not run for reelection to the Wisconsin State Assembly’s 88th district.

Also in his Facebook post, Representative Macco says he is proud of the work he has done and that it was a high honor to serve the people of the 88th district throughout the last 10 years.

Representative Macco says his future plans include enjoying a Wisconsin summer and spending more time with his family after his term is up.

“I have been blessed to be remarried a year ago.  My wife Lynn and I look forward to enjoying a Wisconsin summer, spending quality time with family, working to grow her new business and seeing that Republicans remain the majority party in the Wisconsin Legislature.”
