Wisconsin man driving 5-10mph and deviating from lanes arrested for 4th OWI

ELM GROVE, Wis. (WFRV) – A southeastern Wisconsin man was arrested for his fourth OWI offense in a local school’s parking lot after he was allegedly driving 5-10mph and deviating from lanes.

A Facebook post from the Elm Grove Police Department states that just before noon on April 23, a citizen flagged down officers after reportedly witnessing a vehicle ‘altering speeds’ and ‘unable to maintain its lane of traffic.’

After officers allegedly spotted the driver, later identified as a 32-year-old man from Lannon, going roughly 5-10mph on Watertown Plank Road, he was arrested for OWI in the parking lot of St. Mary’s Visitation School on Juneau Boulevard.

After the vehicle was stopped, officers say the driver reportedly failed Standardized Field Sobriety exercises and was arrested and taken to a local hospital for a blood draw.

It was noted in the release that the 32-year-old was charged on Thursday in Waukesha County Court for 4th Offense OWI, Operating while Revoked, and Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device (IID).
