PORTLAND, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people in Wisconsin were killed on Sunday evening after a motorcycle crash where the driver was ejected and the passenger collided with a car.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, dispatch was reported to a motorcycle crash involving a passenger vehicle around 5 p.m. on Sunday on State Highway 33 near County Highway X in Portland.
Initial investigations determined that the operator of a 2015 Harley Davidson heading west on STH 33 lost control on a curve and was ejected from his seat. The motorcycle and a passenger then crashed into a 2018 Chevrolet Cruze heading east.
Both the motorcycle operator, identified as a 41-year-old man from Stoddard, and the passenger died at the scene. Nobody in the Chevrolet was injured, and the crash remains under investigation.
