Torso, arm believed to belong to murdered Wisconsin woman found by citizen on Lake Michigan shore

SOUTH MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southeastern Wisconsin are investigating the recent discovery of additional human remains found on the shoreline of Lake Michigan believed to be that of Sade Robinson, who was allegedly murdered in early April.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, a torso and arm were found by a citizen walking on the beach of Lake Michigan around 7:40 a.m. on April 18, prompting an additional investigation.

Deputies did note in a release that the remains are believed to be those of 19-year-old Sade Robinson. 33-year-old Maxwell Anderson was charged on Friday, April 12, with first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson charges in the death of Robinson, according to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.

Back on April 2, a severed leg was found in Warnimont Park in Cudahy, Robinson had been reported missing by a friend on April 2. Anderson, of Milwaukee, was arrested on April 4.

Deputies say the torso and arm were found along a remote stretch of tree-lined beach along Lake Michigan in the 3300 block of Marina Road, nearly a quarter mile from an apartment complex.

Since Robinson was reported missing on April 2, several additional remains have been discovered in Milwaukee, authorities noted. However, those remains have not positively been identified as belonging to Robinson.

The investigation into Robinson’s death is ongoing and on Friday, April 19, a sonar detection boat is scheduled to search Lake Michigan for any additional remains or evidence.

Court records show that Anderson has had a cash bond set at $5 million. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 22.
