Sunny and very mild for Sunday

The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…

Today was day one of a very nice stretch of weather, with temperatures running in the 60s and some 70s with light winds and plentiful sunshine. For tonight, a few clouds are expected as a weak disturbance approaches that could also pop up a rain shower with isolated heavier downpours and possibly a rumble of thunder mainly north of Oconto and Sturgeon Bay. Otherwise, temperatures will stay very mild with lows in the 40s and 50s.

With such a warm start to the day, expect temperatures to get into the low to mid 70s except up north where temperatures will sit in the upper 60s. As a whole, temperatures will sit around 20 degrees above average. More plentiful sunshine is expected again, but could be a touch breezy at times. Clear skies for Sunday night and temperatures into the low 40s.

Monday will remain quite mild as well with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s. We will start off mainly sunny once again, but a few clouds could roll in during the back half of the day. A very isolated rain shower is not out of the question for the evening and early overnight.

Tuesday and Wednesday are the next chance for widespread rainfall as out next storm system intensifies. This will help pick the winds back up and start our cool down for the rest of the week. A thunderstorm Tuesday afternoon and evening is possible, but not expecting severe weather. 1″ of rain or more is possible between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Temperatures return to below average by Friday, only managing to get into the upper 40s.
