Nice days ahead, rain moves in late tonight

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Two nice spring days ahead with above average temperatures and dry weather, at least during the day. In between, we will have scattered thundershowers move in late tonight. That rain chance should be gone by the time the morning starts on Wednesday.

Today starts off mostly cloudy with emerging afternoon and evening sunshine. Highs will be in the middle and upper 60s. West wind on average around 5 to 12 miles per hour.

Rain will move in tonight, especially around and after midnight. We are not expecting severe storms as the cooler temperatures of the night will take instability out of the atmosphere. The low is 51 degrees.

Mostly sunny and a touch warmer Wednesday, but it looks like some extra clouds will linger over the north. Yours highs go into the upper 60s to around 70. One problem for tomorrow will be the increasing winds for the PM hours when gusts could approach 35 or 40 miles per hour.

Rain is likely again Thursday. Some stray showers may form already in the morning, but the best chances for thunderstorms are through the afternoon and evening. Highs drop to about 60 degrees.

Looking nice again Friday. Rain from Thursday will exit early in the morning, then partly cloudy skies to follow. It will be breezy and 70 degrees.

A cold front will move through the state on Saturday, but it’s a weak front that may not have rain attached to it. We’ll still watch for a small rain chance during the day. Otherwise, plan on a high of 68 degrees.

The pick day of the weekend is Sunday! Mostly sunny and 70 degrees.
