Mother of Elijah Vue back in a Manitowoc courtroom for motion hearing

MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – The mother of missing three-year-old Elijah Vue was back in a Manitowoc courtroom Tuesday morning for a motion hearing on her request to reduce her bond.

Court records show that 31-year-old Katrinia Baur is currently facing a chronic child neglect charge along with Jesse Vang, who was the caretaker of Vue at the time he was reported missing.

Baur previously filed a motion to modify her bail for a signature bond in this case.

According to court documents, the motion was denied by the judge who cited that “there is too much at stake and too many unanswered questions at this point.” The Judge also claimed that Baur was a flight risk.

Katrina needs to be held fully accountable for a lack of care for Elijah and until we find out where Elijah is or what happened to Elijah, her whereabouts and availability need to be known at all times.

Baur’s bond is set to remain at a $15,000 cash bail. She is expected to be back in court on May 28. Jesse Vang is scheduled to be back in court on June 28 after entering a not-guilty plea.
