More sunshine, warmer weather today

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

The average high today is 58 degrees, and we will be back to near normal temperatures the next two days. This follows a chilly spring day yesterday, when we hit a high of 49 degrees. Rain will become a factor again for the second half of the day on Friday. More rain will fall during the weekend with a big swing in temperatures.

Today, lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures near 59 degrees. Calm winds in the morning, then SE winds in the afternoon around 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Tonight, quiet weather continues – mainly clear with a few high, thin clouds overnight. Temperatures won’t be quite as chilly as we settle around 36 degrees. Some frost is possible up north where temperatures drop to near 30 degrees.

Breezy and nearly the same temperatures Friday. The high is 59 degrees. A warm front lifting up from the south will create a rain chance in the late afternoon/evening. Scattered showers with some embedded thunder is the expectation, but no severe weather.

Good news about Saturday. It will be windy and very warm with highs in the upper 70s! The chance for rain or thunderstorms continues, however, the coverage of the rain in our area will be more hit/miss. Plan on many dry hours! As the temperatures warm up, storms will have more moisture and instability to work with, so it’s possible a strong storm may form.

Sunday, warmer temperatures drop south as highs fall a bit to 59 degrees. Another push of moisture will work into the state, and there will be more rainy hours than compared to Saturday. It appears the best chance for rain is the afternoon.
