GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department held a special ceremony at Lambeau Field on Monday for a promotional and swearing-in ceremony.
Local 5 News was present as the department promoted nine members in every rank, from detective to commander, and swore in two new members.
Green Bay Police Chief Chris Davis said this event gives him a chance to show the public that the city’s next generation of law enforcement is secure.
“I think it’s very good for the community,” said Davis. “I certainly think it’s good for the organization to have the quality of people we have in these really important roles.”
Chief Davis also said this demonstrates the department’s ability to cultivate leaders who are essential to public safety.
