APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – History has been made in Northeast Wisconsin. For the very first time, high school teams in the Northeast Wisconsin area have created a girls flag football league. Although it only spans three weeks and five to six games per team, it’s a chance to showcase the sport on an organized level.
The six teams participating are Appleton West, Appleton East, Appleton North, Weyauwega-Fremont, Amherst and Xavier. The final two dates remaining on the schedule are May 16th and the 31st.
Hear from the coaches and athletes as they look to add more eyes to the sport in Northeast Wisconsin.
