Few showers this afternoon – then the heat kicks in

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Temperatures will be similar to yesterday as we start cool in the morning, then stay below seasonal averages in the afternoon. That all changes tomorrow as very warm and slightly humid air makes a return to Wisconsin, starting a warm pattern that should last for a while!

Cool sunshine will be filtered Tuesday morning as some areas, especially over the north, start with patchy frost. Yes, frost for June! Clouds will continue to gather by the afternoon, and some of those clouds could have light rain in them for the afternoon or early evening. Temperatures will reach 72 degrees, under the average high of 76 degrees. 63 degrees for the high near Lake Michigan.

Tonight, stray evening showers will go away to mainly clear skies. It won’t be as cool overnight, so no more frost concerns. There may be some patchy fog, however, in north-central Wisconsin near the Antigo area. The low is 57 degrees.

Hot and a little humid tomorrow! Mainly sunny skies will crank temperatures up to 85 degrees, and 77 by the lake. We’ll keep an eye on a chance for a few late evening or overnight thunderstorms.

Temperatures stay hot and a bit humid on Thursday when we return to 85 degrees. You’ll get a mix of sunshine and fair weather clouds in the sky.

Mostly sunny and a touch cooler Friday. Looks like a really nice day with a high of 78 degrees since the humidity will slide away again.

Just about the same Saturday with a high of 78 degrees. Along a warm front, some isolated showers could form in the afternoon or evening.

That warm front on Saturday will be responsible for the return of big-time heat and humidity for Father’s Day on Sunday! Partly sunny skies with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. 85 degrees for dad.
