(WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has announced the ending of seasonal weight restrictions for roughly 15 counties statewide, including some in northeastern Wisconsin.
Officials with WisDOT are ending Spring Thaw Class II and Posted Road restrictions for counties in Zones 4-5 on Friday, April 11. Counties included in northeast Wisconsin in Zones 4-5 are Sheboygan County and parts of Calumet, Fond du Lac, and Manitowoc counties.
Class II and Posted Road restrictions will end in Zones 1-3 when conditions warrant, WisDOT’s release notes.
Committee recommends removing playground from St. John’s Park
Class II roads include about 1,400 miles of state highways that are susceptible to damage from heavy trucks during the spring thaw period.
