First responders arrived to find a Madison Metro bus partially inside the Asian House restaurant where paramedics evaluated two people, including the bus driver, for injuries. It was noted that one victim was taken to a local hospital but it was not stated if it was the driver or the other victim.

Witnesses reported that a female passenger of the Metro bus reportedly got upset when she learned that the bus wasn’t going to her desired location. She then allegedly began to push and fight with the bus driver.

The disturbance caused the driver to lose control of the bus before crashing into the building. The MFD Heavy Urban Rescue Team worked to clear debris from the area and helped to secure the building while the bus was methodically removed from the restaurant.
