MAPLE BLUFF, Wis. (WFRV) – A fire department intern in Wisconsin is being celebrated by her colleagues after ending her last shift with a rescue on Friday night.
The Maple Bluff Fire Department posted on Facebook that firefighter/emergency medical technician Scheer was on her last shift when a report came in that a dog was stuck under a deck.

The department responded, and EMT Scheer was able to help the dog not only get out from under the deck but also talk and guide the trapped pup to safety.
While it was her final shift as a department intern, it was certainly a good way to cap it off.
