Winds gusting 30-40 mph combined with dry brush and low relative humidites has prompted the Wisconsin DNR to place the area in high to very high fire danger. They ask the public to postpone burning and not use equipment that tends to spark.
Tonight, expect a cloudy start to the evening, with clearing skies expected late. Temperatures will fall into the upper 30s and low to mid 40s.
Winds turn to the west behind a cold front tomorrow, leading to much cooler weather with temperatures in the low to mid 50s under mostly sunny skies.
Heads up if you planted early, another few nights with a chance for frost begins tomorrow night as lows fall into the low and mid 30s.
More pop up showers are in the forecast for Thursday and Friday as cool air remains in place. A wave of low pressure brings a chance for showers Saturday evening. For now, Mother’s Day looks dry and seasonal.
