(WFRV) – Authorities say a man has been arrested after an infant less than two months old had to go to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to the Fond du Lac Police Department, on March 17, officers were notified that a 52-day-old infant was sent to a hospital in Milwaukee with serious injuries. Those injuries reportedly included rib fractures, a clavicle fracture, and a throat injury that required surgery.
An investigation was launched immediately after receiving the information. It was later learned that the infant had additional injuries beyond those that were initially reported.

On April 28, detectives interviewed a 25-year-old man associated with the infant. That person was taken into custody following the interview.
Charges have been referred to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
