WASHINGTON, Wis. (WFRV) – A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash after he lost control and crashed into a tree on Wednesday evening.
According to the Washington Island Police Department, officers were notified of the crash around 6:40 p.m. on April 22. The crash reportedly happened on Town Line Road, east of the intersection of Range Line Road in the Town of Washington.
First responders from multiple agencies were called to the scene. Based on an initial investigation, officers say the man was eastbound on Town Line Road when he left the road and crashed into a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for around five hours. The crash is under investigation.
