FRIENDSHIP, Wis. (WFRV) – One retiree in Wisconsin is putting her free time to good use as she turns into a one-woman cleanup crew while out walking.
Berny Clarke of the Village of Friendship takes walks throughout the village, helping herself with her mental and physical health while also helping the village with her claw and bags in hand.

This one-woman cleanup crew picks up everything she finds while out on her walks, hoping someone who sees her doing so could encourage them to litter less.
I figured, if everybody saw me picking up trash, it would get into their consciousness, and maybe they would, you know, think more about not throwing down trash
Berny Clarke
Clarke says she also donates any of the aluminum cans she picks up to the Humane Society so that they can recycle them and earn some money.
