The Latest from Storm Team 5…
A stong wind gusting to near 40mph today allow highs hit the 50s and 60s this afternoon for inland locations, but a cold front moving through will open a window to see rain showers anytime after 5-6pm tonight through around midnight.
We cant rule out a few rumbles of thunder as well, but severe weather is not expected. Rain amounts will range from 1/4-1/2″ so rapid river and stream rise looks unlikely.
After the rain, skies will clear, leading to a mostly clear rest of the night with lows in the upper 30s.
Besdies a few clouds from time to time up north, tomorrow looks mostly sunny and seasonal with highs reaching the low and mid 50s. It will still be breezy with gusts hitting 25 mph, but not as strong as Wednesday.
A weak system will bring a period of rain mixed with wet snowflakes up north Thursday night. We are not anticipating anything on the way of accumulation for snow.
Plan on a mix of sunshine and clouds on Friday with highs in the low to mid 50s.
Saturday will be your dry day for the weekend with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Periods of rain showers move in Saturday night and continue straight through the end of our day Sunday. Highs on Sunday will hit the upper 60s. Monday looks dry now, until the evening. We need to watch those for strong storm potential as a cold front arrives into a very unstable atmosphere.
