The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
The morning drive will feature a mix of snow, sleet and rain, but the good news is that air temperatures near the ground will keep us generally away from widespread slippery travel, just mainly wet for most. The Wisconsin D.O.T., however, is reporting a few patchy slippery spots in the early morning, so it’s a good idea to take it slow just in case.
Two rounds of precipitation occur Wednesday: one in the morning that tapers off as light rain, then another batch of plain old light to moderate rain this evening between 6pm and 1am. Total rain accumulation for the day will be on the order of 0.25″ to 0.50″ on the top end.
Winds crank up with the precipitation ends this morning, gusting up to 30 or 40 miles per hour out of the south. It’s going to be a warm afternoon before the evening rain kicks in, as afternoon temperatures rise into the 50s and 60s! The average high now is 50 degrees.
