PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities believe that the two people who died from injuries suffered in a house fire on Thursday morning in southeastern Wisconsin are father and daughter.
Around 2:40 a.m. on April 2, officers with the Pleasant Prairie Police Department say they were called to the 2600 block of 116th Street along with the Pleasant Prairie Fire & Rescue for reports of an active fire.
Crews arrived and were able to get inside after receiving reports that people were still inside the home. Once inside the home, firefighters found a 34-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man, stating they believed them to be father and daughter.

Both victims were pronounced dead at local hospitals shortly after.
The fire was brought under control roughly an hour after crews’ arrival.
A cause has yet to be determined, and the investigation is ongoing.
