GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – World Series and winning the NL Central for a fourth year in a row has Brewers fans’ aspirations at an all-time high.
Last time fans watched the Brew Crew play, they lost to the Dodgers in the NLCS, but once the calendar flipped to March for a new season to begin, confidence is sky high.
How to watch: New era of broadcasting Brewers games in 2026
“They just have to stick together and stick to the plan, follow Murph and believe that I keep seeing what I really, truly believe, follow Murph and I think they are going to be great, and I really believe that, with Yeli at the helm,” said Jane Halbrucker from Palmyra. “I think they are going to be really good, I think they are going to be coming together as one unit, and I think they are going all the way this year.”
Caleb Durbin and Freddy Peralta were traded in the offseason, meaning fans are looking at the new guys to step up and fill that production.
“The platoon at third base will be key,” said Daniel Maine from Florida. “They have to get some run reduction out of the third base spot, and getting Ortiz to hit a little better will help.”
2025 saw Pat Murphy’s pocket pancakes, The Miz make his debut, and free George Webb burgers; fans are hopeful this team will be competitive yet again.
“There are some new players, some young players, and they need to step up as a team to take and win the World Series,” said Katie Fleener from Green Bay.
And with every new season, some trash talk takes place, especially to the team south of Milwaukee.
