FITCHBURG, Wis. (WFRV) – Police in Wisconsin say they are investigating a hit-and-run incident on Monday morning that left a bicyclist dead.
According to a release from the Fitchburg Police Department, officers responded around 7:00 a.m. to reports of a hit-and-run crash between a vehicle and a bicyclist on the 5500 block of East Cheryl Parkway.

One person was pronounced dead as a result of the crash. Police say all parties involved in the incident are identified and have been in contact with officials. There is said to be no ongoing threat to the community.
