GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Grand Chute say a pair of teenagers were arrested and cited past midnight on Saturday for alleged reckless driving while intoxicated and underage drinking.

According to a release, the incident was reported just before 12:30 a.m. when a Grand Chute Police Officer noticed a reckless driver in a parking lot in the 3700 block of West College Avenue.
The suspect vehicle reportedly continued reckless behavior after exiting the lot, prompting an attempted traffic stop; however, the driver turned off the lights and fled into a neighborhood well over the speed limit and the officer lost sight.
Shortly after, the officer found the vehicle abandoned while stuck in the snow of a South Timmers Lane front yard, and other police established a perimeter and noticed the two men running on foot.
One of the two surrendered to officers while the other fled, and was found hiding in a dumpster on West Prospect Avenue with the assistance of a neighboring K-9 unit.

The two men were identified as follows, with recommended charges:
- 18-year-old driver from Manawa:
- Fleeing from an officer
- Recklessly endangering safety
- Felony bail jumping
- Misdemeanor bail jumping
- Resisting arrest
- Citation for operating motor vehicle while intoxicated
- Citation for unreasonable/imprudent speed
- 19-year-old passenger from Mosinee
- Resisting arrest
- Citation for underage drinking
Nobody was injured in the incident.
