(WFRV) – In a thriller featuring 15 lead changes, the #1 Reedsville boys basketball program edged #4 Sheboygan Lutheran 75-72 in Friday’s state semifinal, punching its ticket to Saturday’s Division 5 championship.
Making their first state appearance since 1946, the Panthers leaned on senior Ben Prochnow, who scored the go-ahead bucket with 13 seconds left. On the defensive end, Jack Schwahn drew a charge to seal the win. Ben and Zach Prochnow combined for 41 of Reedsville’s 75 points.
Reedsville now advances to Saturday’s Division 5 state title game at 11:05 a.m., seeking its first gold ball in eight decades.
