GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Firefighters continue to battle a large fire at Green Bay Converting more than eight hours after it began.
According to the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 7:45 a.m. to 2200 Larsen Road for a reported fire at Green Bay Converting. As of the latest update, multiple agencies remain on scene working to extinguish and contain the blaze.
Officials said some local agencies have been cleared and returned to their jurisdictions, but efforts are expected to continue into the evening.
Assisting departments include Howard, De Pere, Suamico, Wrightstown, Ledgeview, Hobart, Pulaski, Lawrence and Denmark fire departments.
Additional support has been provided by Brown County Public Safety Communications, Green Bay Police Department, Brown County Emergency Management, the Green Bay Department of Public Works, Green Bay Metro Transit, Green Bay Water, Howard Department of Public Works, the Red Cross, Chief Assistance Resource Team, Kwik Trip, Subway, Country Visions Fuel and Schuh Construction.
No additional details about injuries or the cause of the fire have been released at this time.
