OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Oshkosh say a 21-year-old man is now in custody after a juvenile was shot and taken to the hospital following a disturbance Friday evening.
According to a release from the Oshkosh Police Department, officers responded in the evening hours to the 2400 block of Blake Court for a disturbance leading to a shots fired incident.

The disturbance was said to start between two separate vehicles, with one vehicle having five juveniles inside and the other having one adult and two juveniles inside.
Police say a 21-year-old man proceeded to fire a round into the back of the car with the five juveniles inside, hitting one of the juveniles in the arm, requiring them to be taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The disturbance and eventual shooting were deemed to be an isolated incident. Upon further investigation into the incident, police were able to identify the suspect vehicle involved.

On Saturday, the suspect vehicle was found parked in an apartment complex on the 400 block of Sullivan Street. As the vehicle left the apartment complex, a high-risk traffic stop was conducted on Highway 21 at Oakwood Road, with the 21-year-old suspect and the two other juveniles from the incident being taken into custody.
All three people were brought back to the Oshkosh Police Department for questioning with the two juveniles eventually being released. At the same time, a search warrant was carried out at the suspect’s home, resulting in the recovery of the gun believed to have been used during the initial disturbance.

Officials say the 21-year-old man is now being held on five counts of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
