MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – If you heard emergency sirens around Manitowoc and Two Rivers this morning, authorities say that they were accidentally activated during a routine testing.
Officers with the Two Rivers Police Department announced the morning’s accidental activation in a Facebook post on Saturday afternoon, noting that they went off during routine emergency siren testing being conducted in Manitowoc.
“The activation was unintentional, and there is no emergency or threat to the public,” the post read.

Officers say that if sirens are heard outside of a scheduled test, residents should monitor local news or offical City and Police Department social media pages for updates.
