The Latest from Storm Team 5…
Mid and high level clouds arrived this afternoon, but that didnt stop us from enjoying a beautiful Wednesday! Lows tonight will fall into the upper 20s and low 30s. Up north, we could have some patchy valley fog or haze form similar to this morning.
A mostly cloudy sky is in the forecast for Thursday, and that will cap our highs to the low and mid 40s for the afternoon. There is a chance for a stray shower chance around and east of Lake Winnebago, but overall most stay dry.
Another wave of low pressure arrives on Friday, bringing with it two rounds of precipitation. The first will be around the late morning into the afternoon on Friday in the form of just plain rain showers. Highs will range from the low 40s up north to the lower 50s.
Friday evening looks dry, but around and after 10pm, a second round of widespread rain and even a few embedded thunderstorms will move in and last through the early morning of Saturday. Thankfully, severe weather is not expected but the rain could get heavy at times along with a quick gust of wind. 0.5-1″ of rain is expected between the two rounds which could lead to a minor flood threat.
Saturday will start cloudy with sunshine emerging for the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s, but that will be in the morning as temperatures will fall during the day.
Sunday will be the best day of the weekend with msotly sunny skeis and temperatures in the mid to upper 50s!
New record high temperatures are possible on Monday as modeling is suggesting temperatures reaching the low and mid 60s in the afternoon. Eyeing up a system sometime Tuesday into Wednesday sparking a sharp pattern shift next week.
