MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – The neighborhood surrounding The Replay Sports Bar in Manitowoc is a place officers don’t get called to often.
Thursday morning, neighbors were awoken by a gunshot, and police units were called to the outside of the bar after reports of a 30-year-old man being shot.

“It was all quiet, and all of a sudden I heard bang, bang, and I got up and said, ‘Jerry, did you just hear that? That was a gunshot.’ So I got up to my bedroom window, and I heard gunshots, and all of a sudden police came, an ambulance came, the fire truck — the whole unit,” said Manitowoc resident Tanya Camarillo.
Officials on scene saw the victim with gunshot wounds. The victim was then transported to a hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Officers then executed two search warrants and found the suspect in a nearby residence, who is now in custody.
In an off-camera discussion, I spoke with the man who called 9-1-1. He said he heard a disturbance coming from outside of the bar and heard officers arrive while he was still talking to dispatch.
Something the Manitowoc Police Department strives for when handling calls.
“We take pride in our law enforcement services and protecting the community, and we respond to calls as quickly as we can. In a situation of this magnitude, we are glad we could get there quickly and prevent anything from becoming worse,” said Manitowoc Police Crime Prevention Sgt. Paul Krock.
Krock says the investigation into what caused the shooting is still underway.

“I mean, I think people can figure out you don’t typically just walk up to somebody to hurt them.”
Manitowoc police are asking anyone with information related to the shooting to reach out to the department with tips.
