MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – Following UWGB’s loss to UW-Milwaukee on Sunday, 75-72, the Phoenix’s head coach Doug Gottlieb gave an intense postgame conference on why he was called for a technical foul late in the second half.
Local 5’s Kyle Malzhan posted a video of Gottlieb’s postgame interview on X, with the second-year head coach at one point slamming the table and shouting, “You had the exact same play at both ends in the last play of the game, the exact same [bleeping] play!”

Gottlieb began by asking for an explanation from the [Horizon] league on why he was called for the late-game technical foul.
UWGB fell to 15-13 on the season following Sunday’s loss. The Phoenix will finish the regular season with road games in Oakland and Detroit before a home finale against Youngstown State.
