MARINETTE, Wis. (WFRV) — A person of interest is in police custody as authorities continue searching for a missing 24-year-old woman in Marinette County.
The Marinette Police Department said the search for Gabriella Cartagena began Thursday, Feb. 5. Investigators believe she was last seen Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Police say information gathered during the investigation indicates Cartagena may have been in the area of Red Arrow Park in the city of Marinette prior to her disappearance. Her whereabouts remain unknown, and the search has since expanded to other jurisdictions.
Authorities confirmed a person of interest is currently in custody, though that individual’s name is being withheld at this time. No additional details have been released.

Cartagena is described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and approximately 130 pounds, with straight brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black robe, black joggers with a logo on the hip, and tan slipper-style shoes.
Anyone with information regarding Cartagena’s whereabouts is urged to contact local law enforcement immediately. The investigation remains ongoing.
