FOX LAKE, Wis. (WFRV) – Two people, including a firefighter, suffered minor injuries and three homes were deemed a total loss following an early Sunday morning fire in Wisconsin.

According to a release from the Fox Lake Fire Department, crews responded at 2:41 a.m. to the N10500 block of Howard Drive for reports of a house fire, with an initial caller reporting that they saw smoke.
Upon arrival, officials say one home was fully engulfed with the flames spreading to neighboring homes. Additional crews were called for assistance, with firefighters remaining on the scene for nearly 10 hours as they battled the fire in four different homes.

Three of the homes involved in the fire are considered to be a total loss. One firefighter and one resident were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries suffered in the incident.
At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
