OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – While he’s certainly a controversial figure in Wisconsin, or at least for Milwaukee Bucks fans, he’s a native of Oshkosh, and on Thursday, Tyrese Haliburton returned home for a ceremony.
That ceremony was an induction into the Oshkosh North High School Hall of Fame, which the now Indiana Pacers’ star guard led to a state title in 2018.

At the ceremony, the Oshkosh native said he hopes his story inspires not just the school’s basketball players, but the student body as a whole.
“I’ve made it to the NBA, and that was a dream of mine for a long time,” Haliburton said. “I hope that inspires you guys to do what you want to do.”
Haliburton hasn’t played this season, as he recovers from a torn Achilles he suffered during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals.
