FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Fond du Lac County say one man is now in custody on four outstanding warrants and additional charges following a pursuit early Thursday morning.
According to a release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found a vehicle at 12:17 a.m. that matched the description of a vehicle that had recently fled from officers with the Fond du Lac Police Department.
Deputies watched as the vehicle pulled into an apartment complex and parked in a stall. As deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop, officials say the vehicle accelerated forward, driving onto the snow-covered lawn of the apartment complex and nearly hitting a parked vehicle.

Officials say the vehicle continued on 4th Street to Ellis Street with the vehicle eventually stopping at the intersection of East 1st Street and Park Avenue. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted with the driver then attempting to flee on foot down 4th Street but was quickly apprehended.
The suspect, a 45-year-old Fond du Lac man, was arrested following the end of the pursuit and booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail on four outstanding warrants and the following charges:
- Fleeing and Eluding
