APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Firefighters worked to put out a house fire in Appleton on Thursday afternoon that ultimately caused an estimated $75,000 in damage.
The Appleton Fire Department stated in a release that crews were called to the 700 block of East Brewster Street in Appleton around 12:05 p.m. on January 29.

The initial call reported that flames and smoke were seen coming from the home and that residents were evacuating.

Responding crews were met with smoke coming from the home’s roof. After searching the home and finding the flames, the fire was brought under control within 15 minutes.
The cause is under investigation, but authorities estimate the damage to the home to be around $75,000.
No injuries were reported.
