GRAND CHUTE, Wis. (WFRV) – While the bitter cold forced businesses and schools to close Friday, not everybody has a way to stay warm today, but the Grand Chute Fire Department is ensuring that doesn’t last.
On Thursday afternoon, the department announced that it received a large donation of hats and gloves, which were inserted into their free public health vending machine.

Officials told Local 5’s Stacy Engebretson that even if the machine runs out, they have enough to restock to hopefully provide throughout the current cold snap.
The items are first-come, first-served, and made possible by local donations and grants.
