BRIGHTON, Wis. (WFRV) – One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a three-vehicle crash in southeastern Wisconsin after a head-on collision on Thursday afternoon.
A release provided by the Kansasville Fire & Rescue Department detailed the incident that happened in the Town of Brighton around 4 p.m. on January 22 in the 2400 block of CTH BD.

Crews, along with deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, immediately responded to the scene and found three vehicles, all with extensive damage. Some of the victims were trapped and had to be extricated, authorities stated.

Additional ambulances and a Flight for Life helicopter were called to the scene. One driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, another was flown to Wauwatosa via Flight for Life, and the third driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, and noted that this was the second three-vehicle crash within two miles of eachother within a span of roughly nine hours.
