According to Brad Schimel, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, Precious Cruse led a Healthcare Fraud Scheme by stealing about $780,600.07 from a Medicaid benefit designed to help at-risk pregnant women or women with young kids.
A federal grand jury convicted Cruse in September 2025 of 16 charges:
- Nine counts—Healthcare fraud
- Two counts—False statements related to healthcare matters
- Two counts—Violation of the anti-kickback statute
- One count—Money laundering
- Two counts—Aggravated identity theft
Cruse’s scheme was through her ownership of a Prenatal Care Coordination Company that led her to exploit and take advantage of pregnant women by offering them the chance to join her prenatal care program with free items.
However, the women provided personal items, which Cruse used to submit Medicaid claims for unprovided items, rarely delivering the participants’ promised items.

Instead, Cruse used the proceeds to pay for a life of luxury with a custom $18,000 diamond necklace and designer clothing, in addition to expensive travel.
During sentencing, Chief United States District Judge Pamela Pepper cited the significant impact that Cruse’s scheme had on the victims and taxpayers, ordering a 9-year, 3-month prison sentence along with a forfeiture of $780,600.07 with restitution to Medicaid in the same amount.
