WAUPACA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 47-year-old Weyauwega man was taken into custody Wednesday morning after the Waupaca County SWAT Team responded to a domestic abuse incident.
Shortly after 11:15 a.m., the SWAT Team was activated to execute a search and arrest warrant for what authorities described as a dangerous armed suspect.
During the operation, deputies were able to safely rescue a female victim from the residence and take the suspect into custody without further incident.

Authorities say multiple charges have been referred against the man, all with domestic abuse enhancers.
The incident remains under investigation.
