GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – As part of the NFL’s annual Salute to Service campaign, the Packers and Fleet Farm combined forces on Tuesday to announce their plans to honor military members and veterans throughout November.
The Packers and Fleet Farm will celebrate veterans and current service members in a variety of ways. The duo will hold special events, fundraisers and create discounts for active service members and veterans.
People shopping at Fleet Farm locations statewide can participate in the fundraisers by rounding up their purchases from November 1-12 to benefit Helping Out Our American Heroes (H.O.O.A.H.) Wisconsin.
The nonprofit works to address the wellness of service members and veterans as a means to eliminate suicide. The Packers will aid in this fundraiser by matching up to $10,000 of the donations to support H.O.O.A.H. programs in Wisconsin, providing resources and assistance to veterans and service members.
Packers Give Back is hosting its Salute to Service Week from November 1-7, honoring those who have served, ahead of their Monday Night Football game against the reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles on November 10.
That game serves as the official Packers Salute to Service game, where players will wear and utilize specially designed equipment with the NFL’s Salute to Service decal, along with other features designed to honor veterans.
