PINE LAKE, Wis. (WFRV) – A driver fled the scene of a single-vehicle crash in northern Wisconsin, where they knocked down a power pole, leaving downed power lines in the middle of a road.
A Facebook post from the Pine Lake Fire Rescue shows the extensive damage that was done during the crash on Sunday afternoon.
When firefighters arrived near the intersection of River Road and Northview Drive just after 12 p.m., the driver was gone. It was determined that the driver was speeding before losing control and colliding with a power pole and several trees.

The power pole was snapped, and several lines were reportedly across the road. Firefighters blocked off River Road due to the power lines still being energized.
Shortly after, deputies intercepted the driver in another vehicle, where they were then taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
