MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say one person was arrested in Wisconsin on Monday after police seized money, drugs, firearms, and more while executing a search warrant.
According to a release from the Milwaukee Police Department – District 3, officers with the department’s Violent Crime Reduction Team carried out a high-risk residential search on October 6 as part of an ongoing investigation into illegal gun and drug activity.
As officers got close to their target location, a suspect took off from the home in a vehicle. A traffic stop was said to be initiated, but the driver refused to pull over and took off at a high rate of speed.
This led to a short pursuit that ended moments later with police successfully taking the suspect into custody without any further incident.
Police then searched the suspect’s vehicle and seized 371.02 grams of THC, one AR-style pistol, and $2,588.10 in cash. The initial residence was also searched following the arrest, leading to a seizure of three semi-automatic handguns, one fully automatic firearm, another AR-style pistol, an additional 17.84 grams of THC, 1.84 grams of cocaine, a functional digital scale, and six cell phones.

Authorities state that the suspect in the matter is a convicted felon who lived at the home where the search warrant was executed. As a convicted felon, it is illegal for them to possess any firearms.
