The Latest from Storm Team 5…
The weather should remain quiet here in northeast Wisconsin for the rest of your Thursday. Lows will fall into the low to mid 50s with an increasing amount of clouds.
Tomorrow, a weak trough of low pressure will scoot by and bring a chance of a few passing showers mainly across the Northwoods in the afternoon, but cant rule out a shower or two for Green Bay and the Fox Valley throughout the day. Otherwise, mostly cloudy and highs in the mid 70s.
Also, wildfire smoke will be an issue once again tomorrow. An AIR QUALITY ALERT remains in effect for our lake and bay shore counties until noon tomorrow. The stable marine layer along Lake Michigan will likely aid in bringing smoke down to the surface tomorrow, hence the extension.

The weekend should start dry with a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the mid 70s on Saturday.
Sunday I’m expecting our next system to arrive bringing rain and a few non severe storms to the area, especially mid day. Scattered rain and storms will return on Monday as temperatures cool down a bit during this stretch as well. Long range DNR forecast on wildfire smoke suggests this system will drag in more smoke for early next week.
