Ryan Gosling is making a return to music as Dead Man’s Bones releases its first new song in 17 years.
The duo, featuring Gosling and musician Zach Shields, unveiled a new single titled Lost in the Night on October 26, 2026, alongside a black-and-white music video.
The release marks their first new material since their self-titled debut album arrived in 2009. The band is known for its distinctive mix of indie rock, haunting melodies, and supernatural themes.
Lost in the Night was recorded in a single day at a farm outside Los Angeles, with producer Tim Anderson returning to work with the duo.
The accompanying video stars actors Noah Jupe and Rain Spencer. It follows two young people who leave a cemetery and spend the night exploring the city together.
Gosling’s wife, Eva Mendes, also helped build anticipation for the release through social media.
The timing places the band’s return just days before Halloween, a fitting moment for its gothic-inspired sound.
For now, Dead Man’s Bones has not officially announced a second album or upcoming tour dates.
