(WFRV) – The Wisconsin Department of Justice provided information regarding an officer-involved shooting in northern Wisconsin that happened hours after a different shooting in Oshkosh.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, on May 10, around 6:30 p.m. officers with the Superior Police Department were sent to a residence in the 500 block of East Seventh Street. There was a report of a person armed with a knife inside the residence with another adult.

When officers got to the scene, a person was found holding a knife. The release says one officer fired their weapon, hitting the subject as well as the other adult.
Both were reportedly sent to local hospitals, there were no other reported injuries.
The involved officer was wearing a body-worn camera during the incident, the release said. They will be placed on administrative leave.
The investigation is being led by the DCI with assistance from multiple agencies.
There was another officer-involved shooting on May 10. In Oshkosh, there was a shooting at a Fleet Farm that resulted in one person dying.
