CALUMET, Wis. (WFRV) – A 39-year-old Shawano man is dead following a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Calumet County.
According to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called just before 11:15 a.m. to the intersection of State Highway 57 and County Highway PP in the Town of Chilton for a report of a crash.

Upon arrival, deputies found an empty dump truck and an SUV involved in the collision.
Preliminary investigation indicates the SUV was traveling westbound on County Highway PP and had stopped at the stop sign. The dump truck was traveling southbound on State Highway 57 when the SUV entered the intersection into the path of the truck.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified him as a 39-year-old man from Shawano.

The driver of the dump truck, a 72-year-old man from Luxemburg, was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
