OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Campus police at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh are investigating an incident that set off an alarm Tuesday night at a conference center.
According to a release from the UWO Police Department, officers and fire personnel from the Oshkosh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the Gruenhagen Conference Center.
Improperly disposed of smoking materials causes fire in Fond du Lac, no one hurt
Police say the initial investigation revealed that someone had entered the building and discharged a fire extinguisher on one of the floors of the building, activating the fire alarm.
Officials say they are continuing to investigate this incident and ask that anyone with any information contact the UWO Police Department at 920-424-1212 or remain anonymous by submitting a tip to the Winnebago County Crime Stoppers at 920-231-8477.
