MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Manitowoc say one man is dead following a crash Tuesday night involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck.
According to a release from the Manitowoc Police Department, officers, along with fire personnel from the Manitowoc Fire and Rescue, responded at 9:44 p.m. to the intersection of Dewey Street and South 21st Street for reports of a crash.
61-year-old Wisconsin man dies following crash involving electric mobility scooter
An initial investigation and several statements from witnesses at the scene showed that a semi-truck, driven by a 61-year-old Two Rivers man, was heading east on Dewey Street and attempted to make a turn when a motorcycle, driven by a 21-year-old Manitowoc man, heading west on Dewey Street, crashed with the semi.
The 61-year-old driver of the semi was not hurt during the incident. Life -saving measures were taken on the 21-year-old Manitowoc man before he was taken to a hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
