GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The familiar sounds of laughter, screams and rumbling coaster tracks are set to return as Bay Beach Amusement Park opens for the season on Saturday.

Behind the scenes, officials say months of preparation go into getting the park ready after its October closure. Crews spend the offseason inspecting rides, performing maintenance and hiring over 300 seasonal employees to ensure a smooth opening.
“We always look forward to opening every year,” park manager Jason Arnoldi said. “There’s so much work that goes into it from when we close in October to getting everything up to speed. It’s great to see everyone back out here.”
New this year is an expanded West End train, designed to improve transportation throughout the park. The larger train will offer round-trip rides and better connect visitors, including those coming from the park’s inclusive playground.
Affordability remains a central focus. Ride tickets are 25¢ each, and the park will again offer free kiddie rides on select weekdays.
“You can get a lot done out here for about $20,” Arnoldi said. “It’s always our goal to remain affordable for everyone.”

Parking will largely remain free, though visitors can now pay $7 for premium parking closer to the entrance. Officials say the added fee will help fund long-needed repairs to aging parking lots.
Park gates are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Additional availability on weekdays will begin on May 19.
